Pete Bicknell finished first in the Mighty Taco Modified Division feature race Friday night at Ransomville Speedway. The St. Catharines, Ont. native and 12-time champion took an early lead, overtaking rookie Steve Miller in lap four and holding the lead for the duration of the race, holding back a late challenge from Ransomville's own Erick Rudolph, who finished second. Rounding out the top five finishers were Robbie Krull, Chad Brachmann and Steve Schumacher.
In the Investor's Services Sportsman division, defending champion Don Spatorico won his first race of the season, grabbing the lead in the 20th lap of the 25-lap feature race. Greg Martin took second place. Boyd MacTavish finished third, followed by Chris Burek and James Michael Friesen.
Ransomville's Sean Letts earned his second win of the season in the 20-lap Ki-Po Chevrolet Street Stock division. Following a mid-race restart, Letts took the lead away from Mike Short, who finished second. Jaren Israel came from deep in the pack to finish in third followed by Ken Camidge and Alex Morris.
Mike “That Guy” Kramarz of Niagara Falls won his first event of the season in the feature main race in the Gippster’s Collision 4 Banger division. Kramarz took the lead away from Kenny Washburn III on lap four and would maintain the top spot through the final circuits. Eric Tupper of Lockport challenged Kramarz late but had to settle for second. Rounding out the top five were Mike Hossfeld, Austin Susice, and Kenny Washburn III.
