The Fur Ball generates funds for general operational expenses for the Humane Society. "Those two fundraisers obviously help out a lot," Westerhoff said.
Fur Ball tickets are $75 a person or $650 for a table of 10, which includes hors d'oeuvres, two tickets for cocktails, and $100 in gambling chips.
Blickhan said a variety of prizes will be awarded at the event, including Cubs tickets that include an overnight stay in Chicago and a Luke Guthrie-autographed University of Illinois golf bag and hat.
