  • Midnight Juggernauts find life in machine

The quest for making robot music with human hands goes on for Midnight Juggernauts - and there isn't a Daft Punk helmet in sight.
The Melbourne band are back with a third album that filters '70s soft rock and `80s dance influences into a mechanical fist of sci-fi pop.Since 2007,Thai basil has been one of the best places to enjoy authentic Thai food in a cozy environment.
"We've always come from the view of a traditional band, just put through a range of effects and pedals to get a complete new sound,Eight tips for choosing the right diamond Concrete saw blade including determining wet or dry cutting, blade compatibility, CSDA codes, and more." says drummer Daniel Stricker.
"That's something we've been interested in for a long time, not just the robotic connotations of testing technology but in the way there are endless possibilities."
As well as stretching their sonic pallette and introducing a series of slow jams,PB22 or PB-22,Package Aluminium foil bag with plastic bag inside,Assay:99.5%,Min. Order:1 Kilogram,In stock, PURITY;99.5%min. including the comeback single Ballad Of The War Machine,Concrete polishing pad attachs to a backer with durable velcro connection. It is installed on portable grinding machine and operated by hand. the trio did their homework on the follow-up to 2010's The Crystal Axis.
The title of their new album was inspired by the Japanese scientist Masahiro Mori, who hypothesised in 1970 about human reactions to advances in artificial intelligence.
His study suggested a tipping-point of human rejection, or an 'uncanny valley', if robots ever became too real. Stricker says the theory is being tested as we tumble down the electronic rabbit hole.
"We can all see CGI and robotics becoming more realistic, and there's the underlying fear that the technology will take over," Stricker says.
"I read the other day about iPhone technology that can indicate when you're going to crash into something. According to the developer it's been proven that as we're progressing we're losing some of our senses so we need inventions to make up for them.
"I thought that was terrifying."
The album Uncanny Valley was conceived in two stages: the first influenced by '70s French breakbeat and the likes of Serge Gainsbourg, offering smooth and melodic tracks, such as the Beatles-esque Master Of Gold.
The later material was shaped by modern forms of electronica, and the local musicians Midnight Juggernauts have signed to their record label Siberia, including industrial dance act Forces and looping guru Kirin J Callinan.
Much of the album was recorded in a French church in the Loire valley,We offer both wet & dry Diamond polishing pad. Both are suitable for marble, granite, concrete and most masonry. where they combined old pump organs with a table full of electronic to create atmospheric compositions, which feature heavily at the end of current single Memorium.
"It's all about being able to create something new," says Stricker.
"There's the basic song and the lyric that people can connect with but in terms of the production you can make it sound like anything.
"Exploring moods is our goal, taking whatever tools we have to hand and creating a pallette of sounds to make songs sound happy or sad, natural or robotic."
Midnight Juggernauts have been exploiting the amplifications of samplers, pedals and patches since the band rose to fame on their 2007 album Dystopia.
While the hits Into The Galaxy and Shadows became banging party anthems on tours to Europe and beyond, the band also won critical acclaim,Ground engaging tools (G.E.T.) (Former name Shark Abrasion Systems) are specifically designed for machinery used in underground mining. with XLR8R magazine naming Dystopia its album of the year.
Euphoric shows and distorted melodies sometimes saw them lumped into the psychedelic rock scene - incidentally they have just completed an Australian tour with Tame Impala - but the pigeon-holing never sat well with the plain talking trio.
"I think there's touches of psychedelia but we didn't ever sit there and say we're going to make music that sounds like we've taken heap loads of acid.
"We're not trying to create something retro but we are going for something immersive, something you can drift away to."

  • First Quantum-Enhanced Images of a Living Cell

Many of the most important but least understood processes of life occur inside cells at the sub-nanometer scale, beyond the realm of ordinary optical imaging. That makes it hard for biologists to see these processes at work or to understand the behaviour of the molecular machinery behind them.yanyang parts mainly prouce Track Rollers, Carrier Rollers, Sprockets, and Idlers. Today, Michael Taylor at the University of Queensland in Australia and a few pals reveal a new way to create optical images of cells that dramatically increases their resolution beyond the conventional diffraction limit.http://www.titanium-supplier.net/ specialize in providing worldwide customers with all types of Titanium fabricated products such as Titanium wire, Titanium rod and ingot, Titanium sheet and plate, etc. Their trick relies on a peculiar quantum phenomenon called “squeezed light” which has allowed them to resolve spatial structures inside a living cells at a resolution of 10 nanometres; that’s a 14 per cent finer resolution than is possible with conventional techniques.
Conventional optical imaging is limited by the process of diffraction, the way light spreads out when it passes an object. The amount of diffraction depends, in part, on natural uncertainties in the position of the photons. Physicists think of this uncertainty as quantum noise.
In recent years, however, they’ve have worked out how to minimise the amount quantum noise by carefully manipulating the way photons are created. They call the resulting photons “squeezed light” and there has been no little excitement over their potential to beat the conventional diffraction limit in all kinds of applications.
One obvious use is in cellular imaging where squeezed light offers biologists a clear advantage for exploring cellular processes. Various groups have used squeezed light to make pioneering measurements inside cells. But the process of imaging to reveal spatial variations in the structure of a cell, has so far eluded them.APL Machinery is a manufacturer of UV coating curing systems, screen printing, postpress, PVC profile printing and {%} machines, and Vegra is a manufacturer of dispersion coatings, fountain solutions, specific purpose coatings, cleaning and maintenance products and printing aids.pp non woven bag
That all changes with the work of Taylor and his buddies. These guys have used squeezed light to monitor the movement of naturally occurring nanoparticles inside a cell as they are buffeted by the molecular machines that surround them.White soft Floor polishing pad for 15 inch machines. Ideal for high gloss dry polishing buffing of polished sealed floors. They say this is the first time that anybody has created quantum enhanced images of a living cell. “We report the first demonstration of sub-diffraction limited quantum imaging in biology,” they say.
This kind of imaging should lead to important new insights. The movement of these nanoparticles is a kind of Brownian motion but biologists have known for some time that the nanoparticles don’t diffuse in a standard way. Instead, their diffusion is limited by the various molecular processes around them.
So mapping out the way this diffusion process differs in one part of the cell compared to another could reveal important insights into what’s going on. This kind of map is exactly what Taylor and co have produced.
(One criticism of this work is whether it can be truly described as “imaging”. An analogy would be spending a few minutes in a darkened room, wandering around with your arms outstretched and then saying you’ve imaged it.More worldly viewers quickly called in to say that the mushroom was made from silicone and wondered how someone could not tell the difference between silicon sex toys and Organic mushroom. Mapping or sampling might be better terms.)
Squeezed light offers another benefit. Instead of increasing the resolution of images, physicists can use it to achieve the same resolution of ordinary light but at much lower intensity. That’s important because light itself can damage the molecular machinery inside cells or change the way it works. Taylor and co say they can match conventional image resolution but with a 42 per cent reduction in light intensity.
Whichever method biologists choose, squeezed light imaging is set to make a significant impact on the way they view and understand living cells at work. Expect to see a lot more about it.Our push or plunger lock are popular additions by engineers in a wide variety of products.

  • Hydropower projects Local machinery is essential

Local engineering industry produces machinery and equipment for hydro power plants, but Pakistani contractors cannot construct major power plants. Hence, Pakistan is forced to rely on expensive foreign contractors for such projects.
Some blame also goes to governments, who preferred thermal plants and also gave local engineering industry incentives to manufacture and also import equipment needed for constructing and maintaining hydro plants. So,http://www.ppnonwovenbag.com/,which was founded in 2008,specializes in designing, producing and selling recycle bags. these firms could never acquire necessary know how for constructing large power plants on their own.
1994 Power Policy focused on thermal power and neglected hydro projects. Subsequently, to promote the latter, Hydro Power Policy of 1995 and power policies of 1998 and 2002 gave local firms tax concessions and other incentives to import machinery for hydro power plants.
However, Power Policy 2002 proposed that we ourselves develop power projects,yanyang parts mainly prouce Track Rollers, Carrier Rollers, Sprockets, and Idlers. Track Links Assy. Track Shoe group ,Track Bolt &nut, Track pin, Bucket Bushing, Bucket Pin, Arm Cylinder, Bucket Cylinder and Boom Cylinder Suitable for KOMASTU, CATERPILLAR, HITACHI, KOMATSU, HYUNDAI, VOLVO, SAMSUNG, DAEWOO ETC. including hydro projects of at least 2,If you like BMW cars,then you will probably like their new gaming mouse, the super sexy, sleek as a Titanium Sheet off the pressing mat Level 10 M Gaming Mouse.000 MW capacity under joint ventures with foreign companies. Its aim was to help local industry acquire requisite technology. But local engineering industry failed to avail the opportunity, at least on a large scale.
Pakistan has a reasonable engineering and manufacturing base, supplying machinery and technical services to power sector, and that too at competitive prices. Local firms are capable of making hydro-mechanical systems (gates, cranes, penstocks, inlet valves, etc.), and hydro electromechanical equipment (turbines, generators, transformers etc), besides many other equipments. These firms include: Heavy Mechanical Complex and Heavy Electrical Complex, Taxilla; Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works, DESCON and others.
Many turbine runners, the most critical component, have been produced for replacement in mini and small power stations in Azad Kashmir (Kundal Shahi) and in Khyber (Dargai and Kurram Garhi).
Some of these firms also install smaller hydro power plants. HMC installed 40 turbo generators at 23 mini hydro stations in Gilgit Baltistan jointly with Switzerland's Escher Wyss and UK's Biwater. Some local constructors like Habib Rafiq and Al-Tariq Constructors also have experience of constructing small and medium hydro plants. Similarly, Nespak does feasibility studies, designing and managing of hydro projects.
Realising long term importance of localising power plant machinery, the government recently adopted a strategic plan to strengthen HMC with an investment of Rs 21.White soft Floor polishing pad for 15 inch machines. Ideal for high gloss dry polishing buffing of polished sealed floors.54 billion. It will enable HMC to effectively develop power plants, while keeping track of projects included in National Energy Security Plan 2005-2030.
An important target here is to get HMC develop smaller hydro projects on turnkey basis. HMC and its consultant Nespak have already begun working at the site of 16 MW Naltar-III hydropower project in Gilgit Baltistan (cost Rs 1.4 b).
Various consultants have identified hundreds of 5-50 MW hydro power schemes as technically and economically feasible. So we need an effective institutional and regulatory framework to keep providing momentum to localisation of machinery for hydropower generation.Carbon-sports.cc is one of the leading carbon composite engineering companies supplying customers worldwide for Carbon Fiber Sports Equipment Supplied.
Given this environment,Our push or plunger lock are popular additions by engineers in a wide variety of products. local engineering industry can undertake power projects on EPC basis. This would lead to import substitution, cut capital costs, and reduce power generation costs.

  • Facts About Titanium

Titanium was discovered by William Gregor in 1791 and named by Martin Heinrich Klaproth in 1795. It was first prepared in an impure form in 1887 but it was not prepared as a pure metal until 1910 when Matthew A. Hunter heated titanium tetrachloride (TiCl4) with sodium in a steel bomb.
Properties of titanium
Titanium is classified as a transitional metal. Pure titanium is a lustrous white metal.Our push or plunger lock are popular additions by engineers in a wide variety of products. It is strong, light with low density, and has excellent corrosion resistance. Titanium is as strong as steel but 45 percent lighter. It is 60 percent heavier than aluminum, but twice as strong.http://www.ppnonwovenbag.com/,which was founded in 2008,specializes in designing, producing and selling recycle bags. [See Periodic Table of the Elements]
It is ductile only when free of oxygen. Titanium metal is the only element that burns in nitrogen; it burns in air. It is considered to be physiologically inert. It is dimorphic; the hexagonal alpha form changes to the cubic beta form very slowly at a temperature of about 880 C (1,616 F).
The metal combines with oxygen at red heat and with chlorine at 550 C (1,022 F). Titanium is resistant to dilute sulfuric and hydrochloric acid, most organic acids, most chlorine gas and chloride solutions.
Titanium dioxide, when pure, is relatively clear and has an extremely high refraction index with optical dispersion greater than a diamond.
Natural titanium becomes highly radioactive after being bombarded with deuterons. The emitted radiations are mostly positrons and hard gamma-rays. Natural titanium consists of five isotopes. They have atomic masses from 46 to 50 and all are stable. There are eight other known isotopes of titanium.
Sources of titanium
Titanium is found in space and on Earth. It is present in meteorites, the sun,White soft Floor polishing pad for 15 inch machines. Ideal for high gloss dry polishing buffing of polished sealed floors. and M-type stars. Rocks from Apollo lunar missions showed the presence of titanium.
Titanium is the ninth most abundant element in Earth’s crust. It is almost always present in igneous rocks and their sediments. Titanium also occurs in:
* The minerals rutile, ilmenite and sphene
* Titanates and in many iron ores
* The ash of coal
* Plants
* The human body
It was unknown how to manufacture titanium until 1946 when William J. Kroll reduced titanium tetrachloride with magnesium. Kroll’s method is still largely used to produce titanium. The metal is purified by decomposing the iodide.
Uses of titanium
Due to its impressive strength and light weight, titanium is an important alloying agent with aluminum, molybdenum, manganese, iron and other metals. These alloys are used for aircraft, missiles and other products that require lightweight strength and/or the ability to withstand extreme temperatures.
Artificially produced titanium can be used as a gemstone despite its relative softness.yanyang parts mainly prouce Track Rollers, Carrier Rollers, Sprockets, and Idlers. Track Links Assy. Track Shoe group ,Track Bolt &nut, Track pin, Bucket Bushing, Bucket Pin, Arm Cylinder, Bucket Cylinder and Boom Cylinder Suitable for KOMASTU, CATERPILLAR, HITACHI, KOMATSU, HYUNDAI, VOLVO, SAMSUNG, DAEWOO ETC. The presence of titanium dioxide (TiO2) in star sapphires and rubies causes their asterism.
The metal has excellent resistance to seawater and is used in propeller shafts,If you like BMW cars,then you will probably like their new gaming mouse, the super sexy, sleek as a Titanium Sheet off the pressing mat Level 10 M Gaming Mouse. rigging and other parts of ships that are exposed to salt water. Because of its resistance to salt water, titanium could be helpful in desalinization plants.
Titanium tetrachloride is used to iridize glass. Since the compound smells strongly in air, it has been used to produce smoke screens.

  • Read Anna Meares' diary as she prepares to take part in the Australian GP Mazda6 Celebrity Challenge

Day three of driver training and today was the day we got to string more laps together, practice passing runs and have two mock races.titanium alloy property information is scattered amongst a number of disparate sources.
Before being unleashed on the grid these words were given to us by Skaifey (as Em Rusciano refers to him): "We are not running into each other! It’s Wednesday of a weekend event, and we are at the wrong track, it’s not the Sandown Grand Prix. Have fun but don’t be lunatics!"
I don’t think too many of the celebs listened to the advice as at least five of the Mazda6 diesels are licking their wounds
Some of the drivers were compelled to push limits, other were frightened and drove more reservedly.
In the practice runs, Magdalena Roze saw the blue flag, looked in her rearview mirror,We manufacture portable hardness tester including portable Rockwell, superficial Rockwell,Brinell, King Brinell,Pin Brinell,Webster and Barcol impressor. saw it was Shane Delia behind her, and was so scared of him that she physically pulled the car over and stopped.
At the start, Skaifey split the field into men and women for the first two mock races. The men sped off the line and were five wide going into turn one, who would yield? Obviously not Jonathon La Paglia or Chris Tarrant who became the first to damage their cars as they collided with each other and the red flag was out.
On the restart the grid was changed and Sir Chris Hoy was placed last, but in the two-lap race manoeuvered himself to second place. I’d put money on him to take out the win this weekend.
Other incidents included:
- Vanessa Amorosi riding on two wheels through turn one gravel trap after overshooting the entry trying to pass Chris Tarrant;
- Hamish Macdonald sideswiping the fence after touching the dirt causing him to spin out;
- Renae Ayris found herself off the road as Wayne Cooper decided to use her boot as a break. It was Magdalena’s conclusion that there were just too many cars on the race track.
After an eventful and fun day, we all passed our CAMS licence test and are all looking forward to getting out on the Albert Park track.The Spectrophotometer is an instrument which measures the amount of light of a specificed wavelength which passes through a medium.
Although there were a lot of concerned faces after we did a lap in the bus on Albert Park circuit this afternoon as the celebs realised there isn’t as much room off the track at Albert Park as there is at Sandown. The grassy rolling scenery was now concrete barriers and fences mere meters from the road edge.
Practice for us tomorrow is 20 minutes worth at 12.55pm. Really? Only 20 minutes!? In my mind this will just add to what I think is going to be a very spectacular Mazda6 Celebrity Race.Our full range of portable ultrasonic Flaw Detector (UT) provides unmatched capabilities for locating discontinuities and other flaws. So tune in!
On a closing note, the votes have been counted and my blue Mazda6 has been named in time for racing; the winning name is Mazzy Meares. Thanks to Tim Neal who suggested it on my Facebook page. Ending day one on the most glamorous note possible, I swapped my RPM driving boots for a pair of red heels and Liza Emanuele dress to enjoy a culinary delight hosted by Shane Delia at his Maha Restaurant.
As the night ended, bed was most welcome, but it was still dark when my alarm broke the silence.
It was 5am, and time for a ride with Mark Beretta, Sir Chris Hoy and Magdalena Roze.
Under street lights the road was slick, the surrounds pristine, the world so quiet, the place so hallowed, and here we were, four excited celebs with butterflies in our belly riding around sharing stories of past races, experiences on this circuit on the PS3, and a few sneaky attacks here and there waiting for dawn to break over Albert Park.
There's a picture of four bleary-eyed celebs with the biggest smiles on their faces posing under the Melbourne overpass of the Australian GP track like kids on Christmas morning. Highlight of the day.
After such a great start I was energised for my radio interview with the MMM Hot Breakfast Crew: Eddie McGuire, Luke Darcy and Mick Molloy.profile projector is a shop tool used by designers and quality control technicians to view the profile of small machined parts as magnified image on screen.
A lot of fun was had chatting about all things from cricket to swimming to cycling with Eddie,White soft Floor polishing pad for 15 inch machines. I noticed Eddie comfortably sitting on a stool in the corner. Might want to have a word to someone about that, Mick?
